What does a System & Integration Engineer do?

This position will be responsible for defining technical solutions and supports sales of Automated Packaging Line to meet customers demand. The incumbent will lead and fulfill PP equipment & line from inquiry to installation process, which includes production capacity calculation, technical proposal preparation, layout design, quotation preparation & clarification, procurement of equipment, and work closely with commercial and project leader in terms of coordination from order to installation & commissioning.

  • Define technical solutions and support sales of SEE SFS&APS system
  • Work with Fulfillment Design Specialist for complex integration of inline automated solutions to meet customer’s requirement.
  • Submit proposal, including layout, pricing and technical specifications, etc to sales team and be part of sales cycle in supporting sales team to win deals
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders on order to delivery fulfillment
  • Coordinate with project leader and engineers on scheduling until completion of installation & commissioning
  • Liaise with direct suppliers or manufacturers on equipment technicalities, specifications, and technical knowhow on existing Protective Packaging equipment portfolio
  • Work with application experts or Technical Engineering Specialist in recommending customers the right material or solution for the right application
  • Involve in sales pipeline review with Sales team and proactive in defining the right technical solution or contribute ideas to overcome sales hurdles
  • Promote service agreement, extended warranty and startup parts bundling offer on new equipment proposal to optimize operational efficiencies for customers
  • Support Spare parts and Service sales, and collaborate with other stakeholders on parts management
  • Contribute to materials & equipment audits, system applications and competitor analysis

What are we looking for in you?

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Process engineering with min. 3 years’ experience.
  • Mechanical/Electrical/Automation engineer with strong field experience in packaging systems.
  • A-graded Electrical License and have excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing industry or packaging machinery.
  • Demonstrated skills in technical design of automated packaging system solution.
  • Understood well with robotic systems and can use in the proposal preparation.
  • Understood well with the relevant knowledge of automatic warehousing and conveying equipment, and can use in the proposal preparation.
  • Possess intermediate financial knowledge and comfortable with basic accounting.
  • Ability to design or create integrated solutions utilizing CAD, SolidWorks (3D Modeling).
  • Ability to create animation & slides to present layout and technical proposals.
  • Proven communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
  • Good understanding of packaging material applications and equipment.
  • Able to travel and be flexible with working days and hours.
  • Comfortable with MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
