Summary

Sealed Air is looking for a high-energy sales compensation leader with strong business and financial acumen for an exciting opportunity to lead a complex, global sales incentive initiative. This role, Sales Compensation Director, will be a valuable member of the Total Rewards & Organizational Effectiveness Team and lead an international, cross-functional workgroup made up of regional sales operations teams and HR and finance partners. As a subject matter expert, this individual contributor role will act as a strategic advisor, providing counsel on sales compensation programs, policies, and practices in support of the objectives and operations of the global sales organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for operationalizing the review, harmonization and update of our global sales compensation program through planning, developing and implementing a new, global framework and governance model. This individual must be a champion for change, focusing on workplace excellence and putting people first. 

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include: 
•    Design, implement, and maintain a Global Sales Incentive Framework and Governance Model 
•    Lead the design of sales incentive plans to ensure competitiveness, equity and alignment with the company's business objectives and talent strategy
•    Research market trends and benchmark competitive practices to create and implement sales plans that drive results and help attract and retain key sales talent
•    Partner with HR and Legal to address regional employment issues that may impact plan design transformation and updates (e.g. works councils)
•    Coordinate the standardization of Sales Incentive approaches across the globe, driving  standard methodologies for plan design (pay mix, metrics, weights & mechanics, modifiers, SPIFFs, etc.)
•    Partner with cross functional group to ensure the right system design is implemented to drive incentive visualization for sales teams

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, CSCP and MBA a plus
•    10+ years of broad, international experience in the sales compensation field; direct sales experience in a commercial environment a plus
•    Strong cross-functional and matrix management skills; must demonstrate ability to drive and deliver results through influence and collaboration
•    Experience effectively communicating in a multi-cultural organization, both written and verbal
•    Great attention to detail and ability to work with a sense of urgency and ownership 
•    Robust computer skills with excellent Excel skills a must, compensation platforms experience a plus
