Job Description


This position is responsible for supporting our site in Alsfeld by pro-actively handling and ensuring of HR related activities and local/regional/global requirements according to best practice industry, company policy, regulations and legal rules.
In addition, this position is supporting the HR manager Germany and Austria in local and international projects as well as in daily work.


• Be the local HR point of contact for employees and their representatives
• Provide the first level of HR support to all employees located in Alsfeld
• Be the HR Business partner with all key business stakeholders in Alsfeld.
• Be an active member of the Site Management team (both Plant and Sales organizations) contributing to bring value and HR inputs and prospective into the daily, weekly and monthly business activity.
• Taking care of administration of employees (employment contract writing, holiday/sickness administration, medical appointments, etc.)
• Supporting payroll administration processes
• Actively participate in the recruitment process; including job posting, organizing resumes and job applications, sourcing, interviewing
• Compiling reports and spreadsheets and preparing spreadsheets
• Participation in cross department HR-related projects and initiatives
• Supporting of all HR related activities in Germany for all Sealed Air employees and the currently two locations (Norderstedt and Alsfeld)
• Ensuring smoothness of running local HR operations
• Ensuring intern controls
• Acting as change agent supporting local leadership



• Bachelor degree in human resources or related discipline
• 1 to 2 years of work experience in a similar role.
• Good knowledge about German working administration and employment law
• Dynamic, proactive approach and ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that may involve confidential or sensitive matters
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proven ability to influence business stakeholders
• Strong organization, prioritization, time-management, multi-tasking skills
• Positive, upbeat and cooperative attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability and curiosity to learn about SEE Customers, Products, Processes and technology.
• Very good command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Good command of English
