What does a Process Engineer do?

- Develops and modifies process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards - Recommends and implements improvements, modifications or additions to document work - Reviews product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules - Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications

  • Project execution / management / deadline monitoring - Design of production systems
  • Checking feasibility / profitability calculations
  • Optimization of key figures
  • Compliance / control of quality, cost and deadline targets
  • Risk assessment (FMEA, ...)
  • Creating / checking / documenting process instructions / guidelines
  • Optimization of energy use
  • Introduction of new products, processes, plants
  • Development of new production technologies
  • Close cooperation with customers / sales
  • Revision of technical specifications

Qualifications

  • Quality and safety awareness
  • Independent, reliable and self-reliant working style
  • Ability to work in a team 
  • Willingness to learn
  • Completed apprenticeship / further training desirable
    • Plastics and rubber technology, plastics molding technician
    • Technician for plastics and fiber composite technology
  • English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Lean SixSigma - Green Belt certification desirable
  • Work experience in a production environment
  • Engineer / Bachelor / Master
