Job Description

The Supply Chain Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring consistency and transparency in financial reporting as well as oversight and compliance with internal controls. This role will collaborate with sister sites in the development and application of best practices throughout the organization and will serve as the financial business partner to supply chain plants. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role with interaction including Plant Operations leadership, Supply Chain Finance leadership, and Sales/Marketing.

Qualifications

  • Provide accurate and timely analysis and interpretation to ensure accurate and actionable plant business decisions.
  • Coordinate local finance activities including manufacturing variances, general ledger accounting, tracking of key performance indicators, Spending analysis and comments, inventory valuation, adjustments, and analysis, forecasting and budgeting. Data support to comply with monthly financial results delivered to supply chain management and commercial finance, following the standard templates and guidelines.
  • Provide a good level of commitment that ensures a proper control environment
    • Compliance with accounting policies and chart of accounts
    • Coordinate and ensure that all accounting bookings are complete and accurate
    • Evaluate business controls applied to the sites impacting manufacturing and inventory. Work with local management to implement and improve controls as needed.
    • SOX compliance testing and documentation
    • Assist with information to prepare budget & forecast processes within the business timetable.
    • Certify that all transactions are recorded in line with the Corporate Policy & Company Code of Conduct.
    • Safeguard all company assets; participate in reviewing asset inventory and utilization.
  • Provide support to identify areas needing corrective action, tracking of committed cost savings, supporting corporate and regional projects as needed.
  • Review manufacturing information, work with the business to understand weekly/monthly performance versus standards to enable improvement in performance.
  • Analyze, understand, and explain the reasons for movement in all manufacturing costs including month and year to date comparisons to budget and prior year.
  • Other analysis as needed for product lines or requested by NAM Supply Chain Finance.
  • Collaborate with Global Business Services (GBS) including the AP/AR team to ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations
  • Responsibilities are not limited to the above requirements.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2 years of relevant finance experience with a background in manufacturing, strongly preferred.
  • Must have ERP, preferably SAP experience.
  • Proficient/Fluent English (Not negotiable)

Technical Skills

  • Experience with BI systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Accounting qualifications may be considered.
  • Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation.
  • Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and summarize large sets of data, and determine if the data accurately represents the business.
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills.
  • Experience with high-volume operations.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Teamwork/Ability to work with different  teams (USA, MX)
  • Very pro-active to take control of responsibilities gaps (duties between teams)
