Position Summary

The IFS Leadership Team is looking for a highly motivated Training Coordinator or document processor to ensure Training Instructional Design is written and implemented.

The Training Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Training standards, processes and documentation throughout the IFS sites and acts as a training champion, driving talent development throughout the organization. The major emphasis of this position is on the development, implementation, and administration of technical writing/training for manufacturing and maintenance operations. In addition, the Training Coordinator will maintain the training qualification system that focuses on improving the technical competencies of operations and maintenance team, while improving safety, quality and reducing training cycle time. This includes, but is not limited to, managing training curriculum, establishing traditional and blended learning solutions, monitoring training KPIs, and defining procedural aspects related to technical training.

The Training Coordinator will report directly to the Quality Manager to work seamlessly with sites leadership to accomplish this objective.

Job Description

  • Help develop and document all processes within the manufacturing facility providing direction, leadership, coaching, and support to training department employees.
  • Work with Front-line Leader to ensure department training needs and objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure that timely and accurate updates to all training manuals are being made.
  • Monitor Training Department key performance metrics and communicate any deficiencies to site leadership in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the site Process Engineers to ensure Standard Work is written and managed.
  • Support the integration of training performance, activities, and projects within the PMS.
  • Oversee and manage the maintenance training process in agreement with the Global Maintenance Training standards.
  • Monitor training program within the organization to ensure effectiveness.
  • Promote trainee success through recognition and coaching.
  • Monitor training requirements by verifying trainees’ ability to perform the basic job duties prior to release into qualification.
  • Perform other duties as required

Education

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Requirements

●    Previous experience as a trainer or in a similar position preferred.
●    Proficient using Microsoft Suites.
●    Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
●    Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques.

●    Ability to lead and direct employee development.  Must be a results-oriented “change agent” who is an effective talent management thinker.
●    Sound decision making and organizational skills.
●    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to inspire others are a must.
●    Professionalism, consistency, and thoroughness when interacting with internal SEE teams and partners.
●    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge MS Office applications (Office 365 preferred).
