Job Description

Sealed Air has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant supporting Innovation & Development Engineering located in Ayer MA. In this role, the Administrative Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the I&D Engineering team, the Director of Engineering, the Applications Expert team, as well as, supporting the Center of Excellence demonstration facility. Responsibilities include maintaining print room equipment, updating scheduling calendars, processing expense reports, coordinating travel plans, organizing customer visits, use of packaging equipment to process custom sample orders, create shipping documents in the ERP system, and customer communications. There will also be additional tasks supporting the I&D department on a regular basis as new projects are launched.

This mix of projects and responsibilities makes this position very dynamic and fast-paced. The position requires someone who is confident, detailed, organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ambitious to learn new skills, and committed to teamwork. Up to 5% travel is required in this position.

•    Support all Ayer I&D Engineering Leaders
•    Coordinate travel arrangements
•    Organize Field Support travel
•    Manage multiple calendar schedules
•    Manage all out-of-office records for I&D Engineering personnel 
•    Manage technical training program directly with customers and vendors
•    Schedule and organize customer factory visits
•    Manage monthly and year-end database reports
•    Create and proof-read documents
•    Manage company vehicle usage and scheduled maintenance 
•    Manage sample request program, review requests, complete sample production on packaging equipment in our demonstration area and create shipping documentation. 
•    Maintain Center of Excellence facility in customer-ready status
 

Qualifications

•    Associate degree with 3+ years of related experience
•    Strong computer aptitude including proficiency in Excel, Word, and other MS Office products (Access is a plus)
•    Ability to organize, manage and prioritize work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with proven follow-through and adherence to schedules required
•    Ability to lead projects and advise on opportunities for process improvement
•    Exceptional written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
•    Applicant should be detail-oriented, confident in their actions, work ambitiously, anxious to learn new skills, and committed to teamwork
•    Technical aptitude allowing basic operator level fuction of commercial packaging equipment during sample process
•    Must have a professional attitude, be self-motivated and disciplined to produce quality work
