Job Description

Sealed Air has an immediate opening for a Packaging Equipment Technical Support Representative located in Ayer, Massachusetts.  In this role, you will become an expert at operating packaging machines at peak performance and will develop advanced diagnostic skills for supporting and troubleshooting all aspects of multiple packaging product lines. 
This role offers the opportunity to join packaging industry leader, Sealed Air Corporation, by providing daily phone and email assistance to our vast global field support team. This position requires someone who is very technical, highly motivated to meet the challenges of new learning opportunities, shows leadership in project work and is committed to team work.
 

  • Mastering technical details of existing and new packaging equipment product lines
  • Working directly with engineering and field support teams 
  • Providing methodical troubleshooting support through phone and email
  • Creating training and troubleshooting materials for new product lines
  • Traveling up to 5% of work hours, mostly related to training opportunities
  • Providing closed loop communication on all projects
  • Supporting the machine lab by assisting with machine set up and maintenance
     

Qualifications

  • Ability to learn and work independently 
  • Excellent communication and team work skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot methodically while providing clear direction to customers
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and technical instructions
  • Proficient in MS office skills
  • Experience in various mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components is preferred
  • Customer Service experience is a plus
