Summary

The Plant Controller is responsible for supply chain financial support, financial reporting and audit requirements for North America Protective Packaging Equipment. This role will be based in Ayer, MA with oversight of plants & warehouses in MA and KY.  Candidate will collaborate with sister sites in the development and application of best practices throughout the organization and will serve as the financial business partner to Operations.

Responsibilities


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Prepare all necessary month-end close duties; including compliance with US GAAP regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley.
•    Support annual financial requirements, including AOP, Standard Cost update, Fixed Asset audits.
•    Analyze, understand, and explain the reasons for movement Costs/Variances including month and year to date comparisons to budget and prior year.
•    Provide accurate and timely analysis of financials to ensure accurate and actionable business decisions.
•    Certify that all transactions are recorded in line with Corporate Policies & Company Code of Conduct.
•    Act as key member of Plant Leadership teams to achieve all business objectives including, but not limited to, cost savings validation and tracking, process improvements, and strategic investments.
•    Consolidate and deliver monthly financial results to Supply Chain management. The monthly reporting package includes analysis of direct and indirect cost, manufacturing and purchasing variances, inventory, and headcount. 
•    Lead the financial review of capital projects, to include working with the company’s Capital system, approvals and post audit implementation reviews.
•    Provide financial support for all site and product line related ad-hoc requests. 
•    Some travel required (10-15%).

•    Global and Regional Supply Chain Organization (management, warehouse staff, manufacturing, finance, etc.,)
•    Regional Supply Chain Finance organizations
•    Business Divisions organizations (finance leads, business leads)
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 
•    Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting or Finance strongly preferred), advanced certifications preferred.
•    5 years relevant finance experience with a background in manufacturing preferred.
•    Must have ERP, preferably SAP experience. 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Experience with SAP BIA and HFM are a plus
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
•    CMA/CPA preferred but not required, other accounting qualifications may be considered.
•    Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation.
•    Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities.
•    Ability to understand, interpret, and summarize large sets of data, and determine if the data accurately represents the business. 
•    Strong problem solving & analytical skills.
•    Strong organization and planning skills.
