POSITION OVERVIEW

The HR Administrator role is a key contributor to the day-to-day operation of the HR function at the Canadian corporate office, and acts as the primary administrative support for the HR Manager in delivering the overall HR strategy and vision to the Canadian business (primarily).

 

The HR Administrator role anticipates and executes administrative support for all tactical aspects of the HR operational function, including but not limited to: pension administration, payroll, compensation, benefits, recruitment, new hire on-boarding and orientation, performance management, policy development and other initiatives. In addition, this role will help support government & legislative compliance, employee and labor relations, leave management, termination management, and employee engagement initiatives.

 

This position is accountable to deliver on short to mid-term initiatives. These tasks relate to managing files and invoices, processing mail and cheque deposits, managing employee life cycle events (updating information relating to terminations, new hires, returns from leaves), updating information on HRIS, responding to employee inquiries, supporting pension-related initiatives and retiree support, employee communications, assistance with Canadian data/audit requests, supporting plant level recruitment efforts, supporting local updates and projects, assisting with year-end activities, partake in supply chain team meetings, as well as other projects as required.
