POSITION: Shipping Clerk
FILL DATE: ASAP
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
LOCATION: Brampton Manufacturing Facility
95 Glidden Road, Brampton, ON, L6T-2H8, Canada
HOURS: Full-time hours (40), however weekly hours may vary.
This role is overtime eligible.
SHIFT: 1st Shift (7:30am to 3:30 pm) Monday to Friday
The ideal candidate should be willing to provide coverage for vacations, sick days, other LOAs, weekends (when needed), etc. for business needs.

Overview:
General:
Working at the Brampton location, the shipping clerk is responsible for managing all shipping and receiving paperwork as well as providing back up to the Scheduling and Transportation Manager. The successful candidate must be able to maintain the production, quality, safety and housekeeping standards and maintains a good working relationship in team settings.
Safety:
Capable of learning and following company’s housekeeping standards and maintain a safe and clean environment. Works in a safe manner and follows all safety procedures and policies.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage all shipping and receiving paperwork – BOL’s, pick lists, RG’s, Document control
• Keep track of shipping supplies – paper, docs, labels, pallets
• Run reports – Purolator daily, chemical lot #’s and forklift hours
• Process direct ship orders for Materials Manager (US to Canadian customers / processed virtually in Brampton)
• Respond and investigate shipping related e-mails – Questions, info related
• Request pick-ups of recycling and material going to the incinerator when needed
• Monthly summary of shipping errors – Investigation and follow up of errors when they happen
• Sample requests – preparing and shipping
• Returns – investigating and arranging returns or replacements
• Freight Claims – Filling out on-line forms for freight claims
• OT&C – complete spreadsheet daily and monitor and update Overflow
• Bay Allocation – shipping would have to get a copy of the sheet to update for material handler
• COUPA (Vendor Management System) support – Onboarding of new vendors in the system
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
• Experience in warehouse work or inventory recording
• Ability to read, write, understand and speak fluent English
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Basic computer skills
• Flexibility, ability and willingness to switch shifts to cover vacation, sickness, overtime, etc. based on business needs
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Good work ethic, solid attendance records, positive attitude
