We are seeking a strong Global CAD/PDM/PLM applications engineer to join our team. Use your strong engineering design, project management, knowledge of CAD (Computer Aided Design), computer aided engineering tools(simulations, etc.), networks, PDM (Product Data Management) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems to support and improve the execution of Supply Chain engineering projects.  These projects include CAPEX to support growth and Innovation for the next generation process equipment for our manufacturing plants. 


This is a global role that will manage design and other engineering software, maintain the documentation, and ensure that systems are working and up to date.  Candidates must have five or more years of experience with project management, engineering and programming.  Responsibilities will include:
•    Provide design and simulation support (CFD, material flow, FEA, etc) for the development and/or improvement of new production platforms.  
•    Work closely with other functional groups to manage engineering software and upgrades
•    Provide guidance and direction to the CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence
•    Develop, implement and monitor CAD design standards and procedures
•    Perform end user training and be a mentor for the CAD community
•    Communicate with the different stakeholders (Co-workers, CAD user, IT team, management team, Vendor)
•    Support End users
•    Define Best practices for Design activities
•    Be pro-active with new technologies and tools, and evaluate them for our needs.
•    Help implement software functionality improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, standardization and consistency in work output. 
•    Assist in automating much of our engineering workflow as possible using various scripts or new software 
•    Provide network integration support on new installations and simulation support to the engineering teams
•    Help Project, Production and Maintenance teams to create, maintain up to date, search and archive properly the different types of documentation (3D Model, 2 Drawings, BOM, OMMs, CE certification documentation, etc.)
•    Travel occasionally (domestic and international) for conferences, user support, and / or vendor meetings. 0-10%


Preferred Experience
•    CAD Administration experience
•    Strong experience with Solidworks (User Administration, Vaults management, Masterdata, etc.)
•    3D Modeling, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and/or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) experience 
•    Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality (AR / VR) experience
•    Production Simulation software ( FlexSim, Arena, etc...) experience
•    Documentation management
•    Project Management (IT projects, EPC projects, etc.)
•    High knowledge of complicated machinery and related equipment
•    Knowledge of SQL Server
•    Knowledge of Business Intelligence Tool(s) (Microsoft Power BI, SAP Lumira, etc.)
•    Knowledge of OpenLM License Management
•    Advanced Excel skills
•    Other tools (SharePoint ,Microsoft teams, Smartsheet, Microsoft project)
