Job Description:

  • The Commercial Business Analyst will be key to enabling the Customer Service Organization to shift from analog to digital ways of working. The analyst will work closely with the Customer Service team to provide data and information that will help inform future enhancements on the MySEE platform and utilize data to drive customer engagement.
  • As part of the Global Analytics Team the analyst will work within the team to support the Global requirements for metrics and the other team members

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting and Metrics

  • Responsible for maintaining and publishing existing reporting, in addition to designing, developing, and deploying new Business Analytics Dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and other data analytic and visualization tools. 
  • Use Power BI to enhance/improve current reports and create new executive dashboards, scorecards, and daily/weekly/monthly reports on the status of key business measurement. 
  • Provide written summaries, key finding, and insights of reports. 
  • Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources to create and maintain dashboards, spreadsheets, and data tables (including but not limited to entity relationships, query building, measure creation and manipulation, data validation, and visualization building). 
  • Create, maintain, and validate reference files. 
  • Discover, report and fix inconsistent and duplicate data. 
  • Troubleshoot and investigate data anomalies and issues and working with the business and IT to resolve data issues (proactively and reactively). 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, end users, and the wider team to prioritize, gather requirements, and execute report enhancement requests and new report creation requests, ensuring sign-off from critical stakeholders is obtained prior to publishing. 
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business to ensure interpretation of customer business needs and translating them into requirements and functional specifications. 
  • Discover and adopt new techniques and tools to ensure the team stays at the forefront of modern data processing and analysis techniques. 
  • Act as both a facilitator of and an agent of change when it comes to data-based decisioning in the Customer Service Department 
  • Train team members, stakeholders, and users on Power BI tool, dashboards, and reports. 
  • Responsible for creating and updating all report documentation (User Guides, Developer Guides, Training Materials) as reports are created or updated. 

Provide Support For Various Special Projects Such As:

  • ​​​​​Internal and External customer surveys.
  • Performance improvement initiatives in Customer Service.
  • New technology deployment projects [Global or Local].

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Strong computer and data analytic skills, including SAP, Tableau/Power BI, advanced Excel, and the Microsoft suite of software
  • Experience pulling, joining, and profiling data, then building compelling visualizations and assisting stakeholders to interpret results. 
  • Data validation and expert attention to detail; has the ability and desire to find and resolve data inconsistencies
  • Thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into requirements and functional specifications.
  • Highly motivated to take the responsibility for BI solutions from conception through to successful delivery
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal form with senior-level stakeholders. Must be able to build and maintain relationships and networks across all levels and departments in the organization.
  • Hunger and drive to continually develop and refine metric approaches, models and dashboards that provide deep business insight and improve business capabilities and performance.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks based on sense of urgency and greatest business needs with an emphasis on meeting deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Business, Finance or Computer Science.
  • 3+ years relevant working experience in data science, business analytics, or business intelligence
