Job Description
Sealed Air is currently seeking an Instructional Designer to work with Global Learning and Development. This position will report into the Global Learning and Development Director. To be successful in this role you will need to be driven with an owner mentality, able to work independently and collaboratively, entrepreneurial in nature, manage projects/assignments through to completion, while looking for ways to continuously improve employee learning experiences. Using adult learning principles and content design you will use your expertise in instructional design to shape the employees learning expectations and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Maintain design standards and document version control
- leverage adult learning and instructional design theories to develop learning experiences
- apply instructional design theories as you develop content
- leverage authoring tools (Articulate, Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, other) to develop elearning courses, vilt, ILT, Infographs, JobAids, Interactive PDF’s.
- develop content in multiple delivery formats dpendant on best practices and guidance from the LD team
- Prepare learning objectives appropriate to learner and program needs, and then oversee the creation of content that matches them; select, modify, and create compelling content aligned to learning objectives and modality
Qualifications
- 5 years’ relevant work experience as an Instructional Designer
- Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies, including HTML, SCORM
- Extensive knowledge of course design and development models and concepts
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while also organizing by priority
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word,Excel, Powerpoint)
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in non-technical terms
- Provide access to portfolio of learning products to demonstrate your skill in Instructional Design.
