Job Summary


The Product Owner is a key role on the Digital Growth & Experience team that will impact the pace and success of our global digital strategy. This role will be responsible owning the product vision and product strategy for various digital products. They will work closely with various stakeholders/business teams and development partners to discover and craft our next generation digital strategy while managing and mentoring other team members.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Customer Empathy and Digital Product knowledge and will help enable a world class digital customer experience for our customers. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and thrive on results-oriented delivery. They will have extensive exposure to and work closely with Sealed Air commercial and operational leadership to ensure profitable growth targets and other business metrics are established for the product and met on a recurring basis. The Product Owner ensures that the solutions provide seamless customer experiences while creating attractive growth opportunities in line with the company’s strategic vision.

The position reports directly to the DGX Digital Product leader and will be based at our headquarters in Charlotte, NC and/or can be fully remote if compatible with normal EST working hours.



  • Lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for various digital products in collaboration with commercial divisions.
  • Proactively manage product risks, blockers and often taking lead in guiding the team thru solutions.
  • Evaluate and prioritize opportunities and develop value hypothesis.
  • Support the creation and execution of new features to include: justifying the business case, requirements gathering, technical analysis, story creation, delivery communication and overall process/business flows impacting the feature.
  • Document value assumptions, and set clear, measurable KPIs, goals and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide directional leadership to the developers, their peers, UX team members and business stakeholders as it relates to overall roadmap delivery. Communicate clearly, concisely, and with enough context and details, verbally or written with clear action items and focus on WHAT the customer is looking for.
  • Manage dependencies with other team’s functions while identifying, building and managing strategic partnership across the different teams.
  • Identify technical feasibility of requirements while identifying gaps and raising issues accordingly.
  • Own and enhance methodologies and practices of digital product lifecycle management in line with best practices.
  • Plan and perform analysis of content management activities and/or functions and guides the subsequent design and implementation/improvement.
  • Form strong business and IT relationships with the different workstream teams including Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, Finance, Legal, Digital Marketing, etc. to facilitate idea generation and delivery of solutions.
  • Clearly define and write frontend (UX) and backend (component-level) user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Review and approve EPIC and Stories requirements based on product/feature strategy.
  • Maintain a deep understanding and knowledge in Agile development and help mentor others on product management methodologies.
  • Perform additional duties related to testing development in Stage, delegation, or execution of template-author responsibilities in Prod and maintaining live-site backlog.
  • Adhere to industry best practices and digital team guidelines in documentation and testing.
  • Excellent project management, organization, attention to detail and ownership in delligent follow-up.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in executing world class digital product management in an AGILE project management, business analysis, product marketing or product management role.
  • 6+ years’ experience in translating business strategy into specific product features from inception to delivery/maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with leaders in a large organization with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Exceptional people leadership skills, strong work ethic, dedication, and desire to succeed, in addition to strong initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues & self-start programs to address.

What Will Make You Stand Out


  • Master’s Degree in CS, Engineering or Business is a plus.
  • 3-5 years’ direct people management experience preferred.
  • General understanding of frontend development html, css, and js is a plus.
  • Continuous learner and wiliness to execute as an individual contributor when needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion change, influence & drive results in a complex organization; past experience scaling out processes and procedures. 
  • A mind toward innovation in an organization that enables teams to innovate, drive change, and bring revenue to the organization.
