POSITION SUMMARY

The Global Learning & Development Director will be responsible for developing and delivering learning solutions that build individual and organizational capability and engagement to enable a talent-rich and high-performance organization.  A significant portion of the individual’s time will be spent developing leadership skills for High Potential talent to improve senior leadership bench strength.  The role will work closely with the global HR organization to communicate, coordinate, implement and deploy global solutions, to ensure consistency in approach, and execution and delivery at the local level.  The position reports to the Executive Director, Global Talent and manages two direct reports: Global Learning Operations Manager and Early Talent Program Lead.  The role is based at the Sealed Air global corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop core leadership skills and capabilities, aligned with the needs of the business, complimentary to the talent management process, and reflective of our Sealed Air Core Values
  • Develop, facilitate, deliver and/or coordinate learning investment decisions and plans that drive performance and results, supporting strategic business goals and learning objectives
  • Apply learning theory/models, benchmark best practices/trends, and maintain knowledge of cutting-edge approaches in order to deliver sustainable learning solutions that drive impact
  • Create and adapt leadership development programs and processes that address skill gaps and opportunities identified through the data collection & analysis process. Align training with leadership core competencies and provide leadership development through experiences that ensure measurable transfer and integration of learning
  • Responsible for leading early talent program including internships and functional rotational programs and ensuring alignment to business priorities
  • Develop and implement standard best practice learning support processes / tools with common look and feel, e.g. registration, evaluations / testing of knowledge, logistics coordination, pre/post work, facilitator / participant guides
  • Develop a process for measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of programs through various assessment methods i.e., testing, evaluations, etc.
  • Drive internal collaboration, knowledge sharing and learning and development cooperation across stakeholder groups
  • Leverage Learning Management System as a vehicle to provide targeted learning paths based on identified need
  • Lead efforts to assess and improve manager effectiveness globally, measure effectiveness of programs and adjust as needed
  • Keep pace with industry trends and defines solutions that promote progressive business practices.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field, Master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in HR/Talent Management, with specific responsibilities for leading learning and development projects and programs, performance consulting, and/or organization development.
  • Experience developing and implementing global learning solutions in a global, corporate environment
  • Extensive knowledge of learning and organizational development methodologies and tools
  • Experience applying a variety of development approaches that span formal training, relationship-based, and experience-based development
  • Excellent relationship building skills with ability to communicate and collaborate across all organizational levels
  • Learning agility which would facilitate the acquisition and application of new practices and information in a constantly changing environment
  • Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuous improvement attitude; ability to suggest and implement best practices
  • Strong and clear communication skills
