Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead programs and initiatives architecting complex technical requirements & challenges across the enterprise IT systems, network, infrastructure & security landscapes. Will be a key IT strategist to influence globally distributed platforms, infrastructures and teams ensuring optimization of deployments & resources.

The Enterprise Architecture team is responsible to ensure strategic alignment of IT initiatives business goals, planning the capabilities roadmaps for various business applications, data integration platforms and business intelligence applications. As a member of the Enterprise Architecture team, responsibilities include planning and ownership of optimal IT architectures and its deliverables, effective and efficient artifacts and views of enterprise capabilities for operational and analytical business processes.

Job Description Cont.

  • Lead Enterprise Architecture Planning / Capability Based Planning to ensure alignment of IT strategy with Enterprise and Corporate Business Goals and Performance Goals.
  • Lead and Govern IT infrastructure decisions and architectures supporting business strategies with ability to handle multiple projects concurrently ensuring robustness and scalability of IT systems & platforms.
  • Lead assessment of IT landscapes to identify gaps in capabilities/processes to architect and design actions for remediation for the appropriate levels within IT and audit effectiveness.
  • Provide short and long-term vision, guidance, transient architectures, roadmaps, principles and standards for all IT programs and initiatives.
  • Create and maintain building blocks of platform services, logical and physical technology components within the enterprise designing their relationships to one another and to the business functions served.
  • Ensure alignment to standards, principles and best practices through oversight of implementations and change management efforts for security and other established patterns.
  • Mentor and Collaborate with business partners, other enterprise architects and solution architecture teams to review alignment to strategies & roadmaps and govern IS development efforts from a technology leadership perspective.
  • Lead transformational initiatives by identifying opportunities to define, refine, optimize and reinvent existing architectures and landscapes through emerging technologies.
  • Design metamodels to develop value streams identifying current and future state architectures of infrastructure, network and security capabilities through its lifecycle and monitor for targeted maturities through each stages of transition architectures.
  • Ensure alignment of programs and projects to technology architecture principles through consistent and continuous governance to avoid “duplication of patterns” and “divergence of established patterns and strategies”.
  • Coordinate with IT & Business Leadership to provide a consensus based enterprise solution that is scalable & adaptable in synchronization with ever changing enterprise needs.
  • Participate in strategy & road map exercises, architecture definitions, product selections, application and IT pattern definition and governance.
  • Author and design artifacts, capture and establish patterns for EA repository to build a clear, useful metamodels of infrastructure architecture landscapes & enterprise platform libraries.
  • Design and ensure implementation of architecture standards (IDM, Security, Network, Scalability, High Availability, Robustness) & Govern conformance to such standards and established architecture principles and patterns.
  • Responsible for the creation and communication of documented standards and best practices regarding IT infrastructure, network and security.
  • Provide expert advice on industry and emerging technology trends in analyzing and planning current and future IT infrastructure needs, guidance on complex and modern IT architecture challenges.
  • Develop employee knowledge and skills in specific areas of expertise across the Enterprise Architecture Team other related IT or Business Teams.
  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to manage deliverables efficiently in fast paced, high-demand environments



  • 10+ years recent experience defining enterprise architectures, architecting complex enterprise designs and patterns surrounding infrastructure, network and security for cloud and on-premise deployments.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in Computer Science, or applicable field of study.
  • Proven background of designing and implementing architectural solutions that solve strategic business needs.
  • Applied broad knowledge of architecture domains (business functions, applications, information, integration, infrastructure)
  • Experience with architecture frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, DODAF, etc and EA modeling tools like Planview CTM-Troux (preferable), iServer, Abacus, Alfabet, Essential Project, Dargon1, etc preferred.
  • Excellent Multi-systems disciplines including experience with large scale global ERP.
  • Ability to conceptualize and articulate ideas clearly and concisely to build positive working relationships across groups and all management levels.
  • Lean or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to work fluidly with several technical disciplines, including program management, development, test, operations and support.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation leadership and presentation development.
  • Ability to excel in ambiguous business situations by adapting plans and approach.
  • Sound problem resolution, negotiation, judgment and decision-making skills.


Desired Technology and Framework Certifications

  • Advanced level infrastructure technology certifications.  For example, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE, Nutanix NCP, Citrix CCA-N.
  • Professional level Information security certifications.  For example, CISSP, GIAC GSEC.
  • Example of competence in project and governance domains.  For example, certifications such as PMI-PMP, Axelos ITIL Practitioner, ISACA CGEIT.
  • Architecture Framework certification.  For example, The Open Group TOGAF Foundation, CEA Blackbelt.
