Job Summary:


As the Executive Director of Global Total Rewards, you will work closely with the Global Total Rewards leadership team, People Leadership Team and Talent Leaders in leading our global broad-based compensation and non-U.S. benefits . You will be directly responsible for carrying out global projects in the regions which may include salary planning, incentive payments, salary survey administration, development of salary ranges, benefits plan design and administration of and communications with stakeholders. This role will have a strong partnership with the Talent Leaders to understand SEE's broader strategies and develop programs aligned with global / regional trends that drive business results. Keeping abreast of trends throughout the regions is imperative to help inform our broader strategies and regional needs. You can work remote from anywhere, with some travel, and will report to the VP of Global Total Rewards. 


Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Managing, hiring, developing, engaging and coaching a global compensation team; Ensuring they partner with the internal People Experience and Talent Leaders within their region. 

  • Analyzing market data and recommending appropriate compensation range recommendations for all roles (excluding direct manufacturing and executive population). 

  • Managing the salary survey process throughout the globe, coordinating with each country to assure consistency in survey submissions, meeting timelines and answering questions and providing guidance as necessary.

  • Managing the year-end compensation cycle including budgeting in partnership with Finance team, process documentation and year-end communication and training for the merit increase process, the annual incentive process, and partnering with the executive compensation team to execute the LTI process utilizing the digital tools while also partnering with Global People Technology team to ensure the system provides a strong manager experience. 

  • Partnering with the internal People Experience team on mandatory pay increases and requests for job evaluations when new roles are added to the organization. 

  • Managing global benefits broker and other related vendor relationships; Overseeing their team to drive market competitive benefits offerings; Providing cost/benefit analysis and monitor benefit vendors as appropriate. 

  • Depending on where role resides, may have responsibility as Corporate Trustee for the UK, Ireland and Switzerland pensions; If not directly responsible, this role will have oversight for someone on the team for this responsibility. 

  • Ensuring that total rewards program objectives are effectively communicated globally and understood throughout the organization through multiple learning and communication methods.  

  • Leading and participating in other global initiatives that have a compensation or benefit impact such as  training on new systems, acquisition integrations etc. 

  • Working with Global Mobility to coordinate the expatriate process for the region.

The ideal candidate will have:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 
  • 10+ years of compensation and benefits experience which will include 5+ years of compensation and benefits experience with a non-U.S. regional organization and/or multinational company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced in Excel 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required 
  • Ability to grasp quickly business objectives and strategies and how compensation and benefits programs support the attainment of strategic imperatives. 
  • Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of the financial, legal and tax implications of the various global compensation alternatives (e.g. - compliance required through local works councils that impact compensation and benefit decisions and programs).
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities that requires strong project management and decision-making capabilities. Hands-on approach required.  
  • Strategic communications skills with the ability to advise and partner with others to develop effective and impactful communications.
  • Ability to effectively manage issues and risks so they are resolved/mitigated by appropriate stakeholders. 
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to navigate through a matrix organization. 
  • Extensive global experience is preferred. 
  • Strong project management and analytical skills. 
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors a plus.
