Job Summary

 

To best support SEE’s Equipment and Automation strategies in its next phase of business model transformation, Global Equipment Finance Center of Excellence (COE) is looking for a Finance Manager to act as the inhouse expert and advisor on financial matters related to equipment and service revenue and EBITDA growth, with main focuses on:

  • Partnering with cross functional teams to develop automated equipment reporting dashboard, and
  • Supporting major companywide initiatives including, but not limited to Double Equipment Product Lines Capacity, Digital & Smart Packaging growth support, value pricing and monetization programs implementation, etc.

 

The ideal candidate will have

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to formulate problem statements among an array of accounting and operational issues, identify and evaluate options and drive projects toward completion.  
  • Business acumen and critical thinking and can recognize or suggest viable business alternatives. 
  • Knowledge on how ERP systems work and is proficient in navigating SAP/BIA to look for data availability, and to design master data structure.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of management and be able to work with cross-functional teams effectively. 
  • Prior experience on equipment businesses processes and system solutions a plus

Job Description

 

  • Lead monthly ExOr equipment/automation reporting to quickly highlight performance issues by product line / region, answer ad hoc questions and provide detailed analysis on monthly results         
  • Coordinate strategic planning (STRAP) and budgeting process (AOP) as it pertains to equipment growth, ensuring that all internal regions/functions are aligned on the same set of financial targets on a per project/program basis, develop templates for deliverables, and maintain visibility on key growth projects. 
  • Partner with IT and regional equipment teams to develop automated solutions for Global Equipment and Automation financial reporting dashboards. 
  • Support Global Equipment Finance COE Lead to redesign material master data structure regarding equipment / service business product lines, complete historical data cleanup, develop future maintenance policies and evaluate options for IT system solutions. 
  • Identify inconsistencies and gaps in current accounting and operational processes related to equipment reporting, develop new framework and metrics to provide visibility and leading indicators on business performance.  
  • Provide financial support to major companywide initiatives including, but not limited to Double Equipment Product Lines Capacity, Digital & Smart Packaging growth support, value pricing and monetization programs implementation, etc.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting required; CPA or MBA in Finance a plus
  • 6-8 years of work experience in finance or related fields, equipment business finance experience a plus
  • Project management experience highly preferred
  • Prior experience on equipment businesses processes and system solutions a plus
  • Highly motivated individual with strong business interest and desire to act as a business partner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in working with cross-functional teams and working directly with senior management
  • Effective, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence others to provide support and take ownership in a process without having direct reports
  • Proficiency with financial reporting systems, e.g. SAP, BW, HFM, etc.
  • Strong in Microsoft Office & Power BI
