Job Summary

 

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills. The candidate must be a self-starter capable of identifying and effecting change within the organization. The candidate will have effective communication skills with all levels of management and be able to work with cross-functional teams effectively He/She can think critically to navigate through financial information systems, can simplify information to create clear outputs to support decision-making and propose corrective actions as necessary.  

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide financial leadership and decision support  to the Global Marketing, Growth and Strategy teams.  
  • Participate in the preparation and presentation of market opportunities, project reviews and strategy briefings to internal stakeholders (XLT, IC, etc.)
  • Partner with Global Marketing to perform portfolio strategic analyses to ensure proper resource allocation on our investment.
  • Evaluate the financial viability of the R&D innovation opportunities by creating and maintaining project financial modeling with NPV / IRR analyses.  Interact with cross functional teams (marketing, sales, R&D, Supply Chain, etc.) to provide accurate and relevant value propositions.  Assess risk levels with sensitivity analyses.  Maintains unbiased financial objectivity in evaluating investment opportunities with a keen focus on increasing ROI.
  • Evaluate financial impact of business decisions, project economics for capital asset investment or research initiatives and contract negotiations. Assist in PAR approval process for investments. 
  • Support collection of Key Growth Programs as part of the Strategic Plan and AOP processes and ensures that all internal functions are speaking to the same set of Global financials on a per project/program basis.
  • Assist in global deep dive analysis to identify opportunities for business improvement and monitor workstream performance of SEE Operating Engine. 
  • Develop and implement Power BI reports to provide Global Marketing and other teams with additional insights to make decisions. 
  • Assist with integration and financial modeling for mergers and acquisition activity.
  • Identify and implement improvements across financial processes.
  • Manage/support ad-hoc requests and special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience, preferably in a corporate finance setting of a multi-national or multi-location business
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in working directly with senior management
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles 
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification highly desirable
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills; highly comfortable with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Advanced Excel user – VBA programming a plus
  • Experienced user of SAP, BIA and Power BI
  • High level of financial information systems knowledge; preferably Hyperion Planning and HFM
  • Strong analytical skills including financial planning analysis
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment; able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to organize, manage and prioritize work for self; able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Collaborative team player, excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • Comfortable with driving change within the team and out to the organization
