Job Summary

Sealed Air has an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a passion for data in the commercial environment. 
This is a key position in the Global Customer Master Data Team which is responsible for the management and optimization of Sealed Air’s database customer information across all regions.  With the iSEE vision, the company is on a path to digital transformation and the importance of high quality and well governed data is of utmost importance.  The position of Global Commercial Master Data Steward plays a vital role in leading the transformation, management and governance of SEE’s customer master data which is essential to achieving our digital ambitions.
This position reports to the Global Commercial Master Data Director based in the Netherlands and is a part of the Global Operations Team within the Global Strategic Marketing Team.
 

Job Description

  • Supports implementation of global data strategies as developed by the Commercial Operations and Pricing team.
  • Drives continuous improvement of data quality through the periodic, methodical collection and analysis of data audits for conformance to Global or Regional policies.
  • Partners with key stakeholder groups to build processes that enable achievement of objectives and initiates corrective actions when nonconformances are discovered.
  • Cultivates a network of embedded stewards in key stakeholder groups to expand reach, create efficient feedback loops and share best practices.
  • Is responsible for developing data quality standards including documentation and the communication of the processes and the enforcement of their use.  
  • Leads and/or collaborates with cross functional teams globally to define and solve complex and/or recurring quality issues.
  • Owns the process around data integrity, continuously ensuring a high standard is met and leads the execution of clean-ups as needed.
  • Provides support and training to the users of data in operations and analytics globally, to create an organization that is conscious about data and its impact to various processes.
  • Collaborates with multiple stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain and other areas on any quality issues within the commercial master data area.  Drives communication and root cause investigation and takes corrective actions to resolve the issues. 
  • Provides regular updates to management on data performance, quality issues and competitive activity.
  • Serve as a backup for the Regional Data Specialists or during volume surges to ensure a high level of support to our constituency
     

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, statistics, marketing, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years' experience in SAP and Master Data Administration
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical abilities and solid business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across the organization
