Job Summary


We are looking for Global Experience Design Director who understands modern commerce and knows the difference between best-practice functionality and best-in-class experiences. This person should have an eye for great design, a natural affinity for technical details and problem-solving, and an inspiring, encouraging personality. You'll direct and oversee the UX work for a portfolio of products, engage with executive-level stakeholders, and direct a talented design team to create awesome, innovative solutions while collaborating with a global team of experts.

What Will You Do


  • Serve as a Digital strategic partner by understanding business and technical models, processes, challenges, and performance metrics so that design efforts balance achieving end user goals with the goals of design's stakeholders
  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Digital Development in our People + Digital Organization
  • Partner closely with CX, Research, Product, Development and Commercial teams to lead the creation and evolution of digital user experience that both enable brand new experiences and unify the experiences across products
  • Evangelize and lead design strategy to influence decisions and executive stakeholders while representing a relentless focus on world-class design and experience that achieves customer objectives and business results
  • Provide thought leadership to deconstruct complex problems into clear and achievable solutions that increase the value of member, employee, and business outcomes.
  • Oversee maturing Design System through strategy, creative direction, and collaboration with product teams and other partners.
  • Provide a strong system design perspective, crafting scalable models which improve the quality and set the future direction for all Sealed Air digital experiences
  • Operationalize and improve design practices that proactively incubate and test breakthrough ideas in user experience for global products
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of designers, writers The Tand technologists to drive high performance and an engaged, collaborative employee experience
  • Champion the value of design and foster a culture of empathy within the enterprise by building and maintaining trust-based relationships with executive and partner groups across the company


What We're Looking For


  • Professional Experience: 10+ years in applied product/UX design. 5+ years proven experience in leading, growing, and inspiring creative teams
  • Design Rigor: Expert command over a wide range of design methods and high attention to detail
  • Written Rigor: Working command over a wide range of writing methods and the ability to discern which method is most appropriate for writing scenarios
  • Collaborative: Ability to independently work as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-matrixed environment. Comfort accepting and willingness to act on constructive feedback
  • Communication: Ability to communicate ideas through UX deliverables. Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge & Skills: A command of design principles and visual storytelling. Experience turning information and data into simple, easy to understand insights and recommendations
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience communicating ideas and evangelizing user needs
  • Work style: A self-motivator with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects with competing timelines. Enthusiasm for giving our users a voice
