Job Description


The Government Sales Specialist will review all government contracting sites, submit bids/quotes, manage distribution, understand government needs/requirement, and apply industry/sector knowledge to present applicable solutions. The Government Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving business with governmental agencies by partnering with Marketing, Technical Services, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to meet customer needs. 




  • Oversee the renewals and creation of new contracts with government agencies.
  • Submit bids for government contracts. This will require the review of requirements, military specifications, products required, pricing, etc.
  • Provide quotes that accurately reflect product and freight cost.
  • Partner with distributers as for government bids.
  • Stay up to date on process and policies around price increases for government contracts.
  • Review MSDS information and ensure they are updated to properly reflect the most current information.
  • Maintain a proper understanding of military specifications and how our product offerings meet those requirements.
  • Partner with regional sales managers and service technicians to generate quotes for any service work.
  • Operate as the focal point for all bids and quotes to government accounts.
  • Special assignments in addition to day to day government responsibilties. 






  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Has valid US driver’s license
  • Ability to travel overnight
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, CRM knowledgeable
