Job Description

Sealed Air offers a 12-week paid intern program where individuals gain hands-on experience that will directly impact the business. As a program participant, you will be a fully contributing member within the Sealed Air Global Human Resources team for the summer. In addition, the program includes an opportunity to present to senior leadership teams, participate in formal training, interact with interns and employees of other departments, and lead campus-wide community service events.


Interns will work out of Sealed Air’s state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC with the opportunity to be a part of our Global HR team that includes:

The role will be placed within one of the above areas, with the responsibility of managing one to several projects (depending on timeline and scope) related to the current business needs. Final projects will be presented to the Human Resources & Communications Leadership Team (HRCLT) at the end of the internship.


The projects will vary depending on each department and the current needs. Each project(s) assigned will have a centralized strategy or initiative driving deliverables.

Previous projects within the departments have included:

  • Develop updated guides and SharePoint resources for Employee Leave Programs. Ensure compliance with local and federal laws for legality.
  • Standardize North American Supply Chain recruitment and on-boarding process by understanding best practices, local and federal compliance, and business training needs.
  • Compilation of best-practice research on workforce planning/tracking, and presentation of ways to adopt these practices into our current system.
  • Standardize North American Production Global Rewards Framework for Supply Chain.  Understanding best practices, local and federal compliance and business training needs implement a new compensation framework that aligns with our job codes and career ladders.
  • Developing a dashboard with key talent analytics for talent acquisition, talent development, succession, and assessment.
  • Creation of toolkit for the DEI Council to use in support of new Employee Resource Groups (ERG’s).


Education: Pursuing a Master's degree in Human Resource Management, I-O Psychology, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university

Required Skills/Training:

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong data reporting and analytics acumen and proven experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to lead initiatives as well as contribute as a team member
  • Sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Effective prioritization and project management skills, able to manage one or multiple projects simultaneously with minimal guidance
  • Ability to excel in a multi-cultural, fast paced environment. Flexible with working hours to accommodate global and regional contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills
