Job Summary

 

A Director plays a critical role in the defining and delivering value.  The position will be responsible for managing a group of Sales, Pricing, Marketing and Customer Service senior business (functional) analysts focused on the development of information technology solutions on our Commercial IT Team.

 

The Director will be a member of our Cloud Operating Model Delivery (COMD) organization which are built upon collaboration among business analysts, developers, security experts, and infrastructure specialist to design, build, validate, deploy, operate and maintain technology solution in a rapid, reliable, repeatable and secure fashion.  The Director will have the accountability to understand business requirements and synthesize platform functions and related business process change into technology solutions to maximize the value of the SEE technology platform landscape and improve the experience, function, and ultimate outcomes of the SEE organization.

 

The Director must be open and flexible to evolving assignments and be proactive in prioritizing work demands based on SEE needs during his/her career.  Selection of the individual will be based on the individual career track record of managing demands in evolving situations with loosely defined requirements.  The ability to build trust and strong relationships with SEE Leadership across the organization will be key to drive critical business initiatives and achieve success in the role.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Engaging with business process owners to understand of business processes and functions needed to achieve business process change and valuable business outcomes 
  • Leading root cause analysis projects and hypothesizing process and technology solutions
  • Defining strategic value roadmaps to align delivery plans and plan in multiple time horizons
  • The delivery of solutions with the COMD team and the achievement of business outcomes
  • The ability to connect business function to technological platforms
  • Leveraging a broad technology landscape to maximize overall technology solution impact
  • Managing a team to perform in all areas of the solution delivery life cycle including synthesizing business objectives into technology solutions, planning, designing, configuring, testing, deploying and managing change of the organization to complete a successful delivery.
  • Organizing the system license renewal process and to ensure we are maximizing the value of our technology platforms
  • Manage portfolio backlog of delivery outcomes to deliver optimal value for the organization
  • Liaise between technical resources, business resources, and other functions to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions deployed
  • Present complex functional and technical concepts across multiple levels of the global organization in clear, simple terms to optimize communication and alignment
  • Lead global teams including internal SEE employees, third-party experts, and onshore and offshore contract resources
  • Coordinate and support the change management for processes impacted
  • Ensure quality of technology delivery by following software development guidelines and managing others to align with documentation, research, testing, and approval requirements
  • Accountable for software license purchases and contractual renewals
  • Ability to understand and articulate system landscape, middleware, and data flows for platforms in his/her domain

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 8 to10 years SAP Sales and Distribution (pricing) experience (SD Module)
  • University educated (BA/BS)
  • 10+ years in-depth experience in relevant IT roles
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Strong analytical abilities to lead a global delivery portfolio
  • Extensive experience in the delivery and accountability of large-scale business oriented technology solutions
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Can work effectively with remote teams across multiple time zones
  • Experience working with Business Leaders to understand business objectives and design long-term, growth-oriented solution to solve critical Sealed Air and customer challenges
  • Experience in managing internal and external, onshore and offshore team members to deliver results
  • Experience with commercial business processes
  • Process optimization experience
