Job Summary

 

The IT SecOps Analyst is a global position responsible to help maintaining and continually improving the security of the our applications, platforms, and environment. This position is part of the IT Shared Services organization and reports to the Manager of SecOps. Roles and responsibilities are established to aid in supporting delivery and ensuring that the tools and approaches used are effective while identifying and building processes as we progress in establishing our Zero Trust Framework. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of our environment through computer systems, networks, and access/identity 
  • Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot security and infrastructure components and processes which aid to prevent incidents and analyze automation
  • IT security operations analyst for on-premises infrastructures and cloud platforms.
  • Provides support as required during critical (high) incidents identified by the SOC or other sources.  Leads investigations and takes corrective/preventive actions working closely with Hosting Platforms, Cybersecurity, Application Support, and other regional or domain experts. 
  • Develop technical solutions with security tools and processes to help mitigate security vulnerabilities along with automating repeatable tasks 
  • Perform remediation and remediation management on identified vulnerabilities in cloud and on-premises environments
  • Deploy security software and hardware, and regular updates as needed to secure and protect networks 
  • Create and develop internal support processes to establish, and remove, access to applications/software leveraging our ITSM tool for intake and aligning identity through an identity platform as part of identity lifecycle management.  
  • Maintain monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), security reports and dashboards across various organizational solutions, to provide proper effectiveness reporting.  Identify, collect, analyze, interpret, and maintain the reporting of security metrics. 
  • Assess all the configuration management (change configuration/release management) processes and support their management
  • Act primarily as an Operational resource, actively assessing and proactively mitigating security risks and concerns
  • Act as an active member of Design & Build IT projects, steering security configurations and services towards a necessary balance of speed, flexibility and compliance
  • Actively assess proposed and existing implementations, identifying security issues and prioritizing fixes
  • Provide daily, ongoing security and operational oversight, to include the security and operational impact of proposed modifications, additions, and technology implementations and refreshes
  • Ensures compliance with Data Protection, Jurisdiction and Privacy laws globally as part of the Cloud Domain
  • Liaises with other IT Delivery teams as required, communicating security and operational risks and regulations, and supports global security programs, policies and KPIs.
  • Understand Role Based Access Controls (RBAC) and assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance to support role based access for least privilege 
  • Recommends process improvements or operational efficiencies to drive increased value for the customer, the team, and the program.
  • Identify security concerns and raise to senior staff.
  • Assist in new technology rollouts to ensure standards are being maintained
  • Apply organizational policies and procedures, and recommend changes or improvements to procedures or processes
  • Participate in security audits
  • Fulfilling on-call responsibilities as part of the team’s rotation

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in IT Operations or Security
  • Experience assessing, developing, implementing, optimizing, and documenting a comprehensive and broad set of security technology solutions and processes
  • Knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, SAML, etc.), as well as traditional methods such as Directory Services, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), etc.
  • Knowledge of IT security monitoring, detection and protection methods (Network Segregation, Firewalls, IDS, IPS, NAC, SIEM, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction; self-starter/self-motivated
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Familiarity with various compliance such as PCI-DSS, SOC 1, SOC 2, GDPR among others
