Summary

The IT organization of Sealed Air Corporation is responsible for the life cycle planning of business applications through selection, operation, refresh, migration, optimization, retirement and disposal. The Hire to Retire (H2R) tower has the specific responsibility for building or configuring outside the standard delivery tools of the system (technical configuration, coding, etc.).  The candidate will collaborate closely with other team members to provide the full set of functional services and technical services required to support the company’s global Hire to Retire systems.

 

The SF and Concur Junior Business Analyst position requires proven business acumen in the SuccessFactors and/or SAP Concur Travel & Expense domain.  Enterprise technology experience specifically in the areas of SAP SuccessFactors and/or SAP Concur is required.  The position requires an education and/or training in computer science and/or human resources. Experience in technical configuration (coding) and support of business owned configuration of the SAP SuccessFactors system and/or SAP Concur application to deliver business functionality is required.  Familiarity with conceptual solution and platform architectures and/or fundamental programming and/or project management concepts is highly advantageous.

Experience being able to self-manage small projects and ad hoc teams is also required.  Familiarity with the Agile methodology would be an additional bonus.

The position reports directly to the Executive Director – Hire to Retire (H2R) and will be based at our Charlotte, NC Global headquarters.

Job Description
  • Proactively scan for and resolve any system-related technical issues that could impact end-user experience, data integrity, or overall end-to-end system functionality.  Issues related to the standard and custom functionality expected of the system.
  • Must be able to research and respond to technical questions on design of workflow processes and system configuration to leverage the value of the technology offerings supported by this global team.
  • Willingness to cross-train across other SuccessFactors application areas (technical, not end-user) and/or other employee-facing products that integrate with the SAP SuccessFactors suite. 
  • In partnership with HRIS and FINANCE and PAYROLL, support live systems by troubleshooting and resolving issues, by working with end users and collaborating with fellow IT and business team members.
  • Working as a team player to deliver new technical business systems solutions by executing projects from end-to-end, participating in activities ranging from technical requirements gathering, gap analysis, solution design, technical process documentation, system configuration (technical system, custom)
  • Assist with and/or lead Testing, script development and execution of Unit testing ( ie non User Acceptance Testing).  For User Acceptance testing, partner with HRIS for planning, coordination and lead the execution of testing across the functions, vendors and business owners. 
  • Partner with HRIS team to analyze business processes, and prepare detailed technical specifications for required development activities, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
  • Coordinate extensively with business users, functional and cross-functional team members, developers, integration resources, third party vendors, and governance team members on technical issues and new, non-standard system development.
Qualifications
  • Ability to self-manage key deliverables and deadlines.  At times, will need to direct the work of other team members or Sealed Air colleagues.
  • Ability to initiate and maintain relationships with various areas of the business supported by products under the IT Hire-to-Retire tower, to enhance the overall analysis efforts, high-quality service delivery and successful end-user adoption and employee experience.
  • Also need the ability to engage and work with all areas of the IT global organization and various third-party vendors and consultants, when needed.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience implementing and/or supporting the major SaaS software such as SAP Concur, SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, ADP EV5, ADP eTime, Workday, etc.
  • Strong functional knowledge of various SAP SuccessFactors modules and various SAP CONCUR modules.
  • Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze and convey business requirements into functional specifications and technical design documents.
  • Experience with leading and executing testing and validation of configuration and defect-resolution and perform peer-reviews.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, time-management and project management skills.
Additional Qualifications Preferred
  • SuccessFactors certifications in one or more modules.
  • Exposure to any other major SaaS software such as SAP Concur, SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, ADP EV5, ADP eTime, Workday, etc.
  • Experience with one or more full Life-Cycle Implementations of SuccessFactors preferred.
  • Computer Science degree or comparable work experience in related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or off-set by additional years of work experience.
  • HR, Payroll or Project Management certifications.
  • History of successful implementations and/or long term support of one or more of the following SuccessFactors Modules: Employee Central, Onboarding, Recruitment and Recruitment Marketing, Performance Management, Goal Management, Succession Planning, Career Development and Payroll. 
  • History of successful implementations and/or long term support of one or more of the following SAP Concur modules: Travel and Expense, Concur Request, Concur Detect, Concur integrations with Citibank vendor, SAP Cognos report writing, etc.
  • Familiarity with: Boomi, Hanna Cloud Integrations, SuccessFactors integration center and other SuccessFactors middleware
