POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Global Learning & Development (L&D) will be responsible for supporting the Sealed Air People Strategy to create a culture of learning and facilitate solutions that build individual & organizational capability to enable a talent-rich and high performance organization.  The successful incumbent will actively contribute to the development, implementation and management of programs & solutions focused on manager effectiveness, leadership pipeline development, employee engagement, building a high performance culture and onboarding & assimilation.  The role will regularly assess program effectiveness and make improvements as needed to accomplish the desired result.  The Manager, Global L&D will partner closely with key stakeholders in the regions to assess needs and develop/deploy innovative solutions using a variety of methods including learning by experience, learning through others and formal learning (virtual & in-person) to achieve maximum impact.  The position reports to the Director, Global Learning & Development and is based in Sealed Air’s corporate headquarters location in Charlotte, NC.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with HR teams to develop comprehensive and innovative learning solutions in support of the 70/20/10 learning model
  • Develop content as needed and support continued education of Sealed Air cultural components including Values, Core Competencies, Code of Ethics and Leadership Behaviors
  • Lead efforts to assess and improve manager effectiveness globally, measure effectiveness of programs and adjust as needed
  • In partnership with HR and Talent Acquisition, leverage technology to develop & deploy a global onboarding program to ensure a positive and consistent new hire experience
  • Provide coaching and support to managers in the creation of robust individual development plans that meet succession, retention and career progression needs
  • Support best practice sharing among regional teams and provide forum to discuss & share ideas
  • Ensure learning & development content is easy to use and accessible to key stakeholders in the region
  • Capture & analyze regional needs and serve as an expert consult to Regional HR teams on COE topics
  • Create toolkits as needed to help regional & country HR leaders deploy learning & development tools locally – conduct pre-training sessions to educate HR leaders on the content and how to best deploy
  • Develop & execute a process for measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of current and future programs through various assessment methods i.e., surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.
  • Design adoption strategies to ensure successful transfer of concepts and expected behavior changes that will positively impact Sealed Air’s business
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to support learning & development strategies, develop solutions and implement as required
  • In partnership with Global Communications, develop & facilitate communication forums to support leadership development and behavior changes (such as Let’s Talk Talent, 5 Minutes for Managers)
  • Serve as the Learning Management System Administrator
  • Support LMS strategy developed to support overall L&D strategy
  • Leverage LMS as a vehicle to provide targeted learning paths based on identified needs
  • Manage online content training to assess usage, impact and user satisfaction, adjust as needed
  • Coach & train users on the system capabilities
  • Assess security needs based on need and recommend changes as needed to HRIS team
  • Partner with existing vendors to ensure offerings are aligned with expectations, support efforts to improve if needed
  • Identify new vendors based on organizational need and work with them to develop easy to use solutions that can be deployed in the regions based on need
  • Regularly assess stakeholder feedback to maximize vendor partnership
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field, Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in HR/Talent Management, with specific responsibilities for leading learning and development projects and programs, performance consulting, and/or organization development
  • Experience developing and implementing learning solutions in a corporate environment, global experience is a plus
  • Experience applying a variety of development approaches that span formal training, relationship-based, and experience-based development
  • Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Certifications in external programs and assessments a plus (360s, Hogan, Crucial Conversations)
  • Strong systems experience including MS Office suite and HRIS systems (Success Factors is a plus)
  • Experience using an Learning Management System to develop and/or deploy content (Success Factors experience is a plus)
  • Experience working in global, matrix environment is a plus
  • Experience analyzing data to create awareness or improve decision making
  • Experienced in external benchmarking and keeping track of trends & developments
  • Strong knowledge of learning and organizational development methodologies and tools
  • Excellent relationship building skills with ability to communicate and collaborate across all organizational levels
  • Learning agility which would facilitate the acquisition and application of new practices and information in a constantly changing environment
  • Continuous improvement attitude; ability to suggest and implement best practices
