Job Description

The manager of Information Security is primarily responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational cyber security posture is maintained for Sealed Air’s digital assets. The Manager of Information Security is responsible for managing and leading a team of Information Security analysts in the execution of a comprehensive security implementation. The candidate must be a self-starter capable of multitasking and efficiently managing their time in a dynamic environment with demanding deadlines while requiring minimal levels of supervision. Additionally, the candidate must possess excellent writing, speaking, analytical, project management, organizational, collaboration and customer service skills that will assist them in identifying solutions to complex security problems. This position reports to the Director of Information Security. Responsibilities include but not limited to threat management, vulnerability management, incident response, insider threat, perimeter security, logging, security awareness training, anti-phishing, forensic investigation and managing MSS security vendor relationship. The Security Manager will also play an active role and provide thought leadership on all areas of Information Security.


● Maintain alignment with NIST Cyber-security framework, PCI-DSS standards, SOX and other relevant audit/compliance requirements through the implementation of technical controls, and process improvements, etc

● Conduct security vulnerability assessments and work with infrastructure to mitigate report findings.

● Provide information security expertise to infrastructure, application development development and managed security services vendor.

● Independently manages workload of the Information Security team members and provides guidance on areas of improvement.

● Spearhead and direct internal/external penetration testing methodologies and execution

● Assess new and existing applications and system deployments for vulnerabilities and design flaws, and prioritize remediation efforts based on risk

● Work with various teams to incorporate security into every aspect in an effort to create a more secure culture in SEE.

● Manage information security awareness and anti-phishing training program.

● Assists Data Privacy team with technical security requirements for vendor management process to ensure key security requirements are met.

● Lead forensic investigation engagements in support of approved Legal required investigations.

● Managed security incident response process and track issues to resolution within acceptable time frame.


● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

● At least 12 years of related work experience in information security

● Demonstrated expertise Information Security processes, audits, tools, implementation, NIST, IT security

● Security Certifications: GSEC, GCIH, GCFE, CEH, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or similar security certification desired

● Experience in team leadership and managerial duties of information security team in a production environment.

● Experience monitor hardware and software for any suspicious behavior or traffic

● Document best practices for security and information assurance based on business and user requirements

● Proven experience implementing technical security solutions based on identified risks and organizational standards.

● Strong organizational and interpersonal skills needed to work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external resources.

● Ability to lead a team of technical staff in implementing solutions and responding to incidents.

● Knowledge of principles of security, risk analysis methods, incident response, forensic investigation and information classification.

● Experience developing technical standards, security architecture, procedures, and guidelines.

● Knowledge of security models and architectures including segmentation/isolation, layering, and domains and how they may be applied to meet specific information protection requirements.

● Ability to develop, interpret, implement and articulate plans for tracking and improving security posture.

● Strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure.

● Subject matter expert on all aspects of enterprise security
