Job Summary

 

Employment and Compliance paralegal to support the Litigation, Employment and Compliance Team, with responsibility for employment litigation, management of the Company’s ethics hotline, case management and program analytics.  The Position will also maintain responses to client surveys and compliance inquiries.  

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain the Company’s ethics hotline to include, intake, review of case assignments, follow-up entries, investigations and case resolutions.    
  • Administrative backup for the Legal team’s matters management system used to track cases, pay invoices, and create analytic reports.    
  • Manage discovery in employment litigation such as working with the People Team and Payroll on wage garnishments, EEOC responses, subpoena requests, scheduling of internal witnesses, information gathering, employee responses, and updating the employment litigation tracker.
  • Prepare agendas and quarterly analytics for the Integrity Committee, Audit Committiee, and Board presentations, as well as assist on special projects relating to the corporate organization and legal department, such as client Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) surveys.    
  • Test and upload ethics and compliance training for the Company from selected vendors to incorporate the Code of Conduct and applicable compliance policies, as well as coordinate with the Learning and Development Team to schedule compliance training..  
  • Manage third-party risk mitigation and monitoring of higher risk parties through screening program, including adverse media, politically exposed persons and debarred parties. 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years working as a paralegal in either private practice or a corporate legal function. 
  • Experience working with employment matters, as well as assisting with global compliance training.  
  • Hands on experience as a systems administrator working directly with members of the Legal team, IT professionals and vendors to troubleshoot customer service issues.  
  • Prior paralegal experience working with the court systems preferred, but not mandatory.
