Job Summary


The Deal Desk Analyst will work collaboratively with the Sales, Sales Operations and Portfolio Management teams to manage the deal process from submission to decision.  This role will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing and approving the deals in an effort to maximize profitability and execute centralized price control.




  • Manage deal approval process providing efficient, accurate and timely decisions for deviation requests.
  • Become the subject matter expert in deal pricing system (SAP/Vendavo) enabling you to lead discussions on system issues and train others how to maximize system capability
  • Review and decide on pending deals by comparing subjective input with existing data and ad hoc analysis to understand margin impact against category goals
  • Work cross functionally within a dynamic sales environment to recommend adjustments to pending deals in order to optimize profitability
  • Monitor the deal input process for accuracy and completeness and execute accountability tracking working with Sales and Sales Operations to continuously improve
  • Lead the execution process for price changes and ensure systematic changes are implemented quickly and accurately
  • Populate, distribute and explain deal analytics providing cross functional teams with actionable data needed for quick review of questionable deals
  • Create risk assessments for elevated review process
  • Support the Large Deals process by providing special summaries and data to aid higher level decision makers
  • Manage non-standard deal process and support the project to simplify the non-standard deals
  • Lead or participate in special projects designed to continuously improve the deal management process






  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other relevant business field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in financial systems and analysis




  • Experience in Configure Price Quote “CPQ” systems, Vendavo strongly preferred
  • Ability to interpret data and analyze information with specific experience in Sales and Profit analyses
  • Experience with Category Management and Portfolio Management
  • Experience with managing and analyzing Pricing and using pricing systems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft office products
  • Superior communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent relationship building skills with experience generating solutions based on corporate goals and individual customer constraints
  • Strong attention to detail and takes initiative to continuously optimize their role  
  • Experience working in dynamic teams with proficiency in prioritizing team success over individual
  • Results oriented and intellectually curious
