Job Summary
As a valuable member of the Organizational Effectiveness & Total Rewards Team, the Retirement & Benefits Manager will report to the Director of Global Benefits and help develop and manage global retirement plans and governance models. This individual contributor role requires the strong ability to collaborate with other internal and external teams to ensure legal compliance and best practices are developed and implemented.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and manage global retirement plans and operating models including administration, coordination, structures, committees, and governance
- Creates, Leads or participates in retirement committees in various countries
- Manages relationships with retirement plan vendors and consultants where appropriate and ensures service level agreements are defined and met
- Ensures robust controls are embedded in retirement models and processes are operating as designed; supports the implementation and adherence to SOX controls and compliance, audit activities, ensures compliance for all plan documents and statutory requirements, including government filings, related to savings and retirement plans and programs operations;
- Collaborate with finance, local HR, regional total rewards, and external teams on strategies related to de-risking, vendors, consultants, administration, contribution strategies, budgeting, business impact, etc.
- Liaises with third party vendor partners, HR IT and Total Rewards groups on operational and systems issues and is responsible for data file accuracy, as applicable
- Develops and deploys best practices regarding benefits, savings and retirement plan operations and service support and provides input on the design and delivery of participant communication
- Perform and review pension benefit calculations in U.S. and Canada
- Conducting RFPs and program and project implementations
- May assist with other Total Rewards projects such as M&A, recognition, organizational effectiveness, compensation, etc
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience specifically in benefits, finance or total rewards field
- Minimum of 3-years experience within large global company
Additional Qualifications
- Knowledge of retirement benefit regulations, and experience with international pensions and global governance preferred
- Familiar with requirements such as 5500’s, retirement plan financial statements, safe harbor provisions/QDIA notices, etc.
- Strong relational skills working with vendors and co-workers
- Strong Project Management experience
- Knowledge of MS Office; Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
- Excellent presentation skills; superb verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills and ability to recommend process improvements
