Job Description

The Professional Instructional Designer's role is to design and develop learning and practical experiences for our commercial stakeholders, including sales, marketing and customer experience teams. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.

 

Responsibilites
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them 
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
  • Content versioning and updates
  • Translation management
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Activation of online learning modules within LMS platform
  • Internal and external stakeholder management including vendor coordination
  • Training evaluation

  • Analyze multiple levels of training feedback including satisfaction, knowledge transfer, behavior change and impact on business

  • Report feedback and evaluation

  • Adjust content according to feedback and SME input
  • Support of innovative sales enablement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Extreme attention to detail & upstream/downstream workflow, creativity, self-learner, problem solver, and communication
  • Demonstrable business writing skills
  • Project Management skills
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar
