Position Summary
The Automation & Integration team, part of the Innovation & Development (I&D) organization at Sealed Air, is a group of highly motivated, energetic, and talented individuals with a wide variety of skillsets. The mission of our team is to conceptualize, develop, and commercialize automated food packaging systems that deliver value to our customers and support the growth of the global Sealed Air business.

As a member of this team, you will work closely with fellow engineers, designers, technicians, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and key customers to develop automation equipment and electro-mechanical assemblies. This role will enable you to see projects through all stages of the development process: project conceptualization, project planning, design, manufacturing, in-house testing, installation, and the development of supporting machine documentation. You will have the opportunity to expand your design skills and manufacturing knowledge, strengthen your business acumen and professional skillset, and grow as a technical leader. Job Description
• Develop equipment specifications and initial solution concepts
• Design and oversee the design of solutions from conceptualization through equipment manufacturing
• Generate PLC logic for machine control
• Review and generate electrical schematics, system network architecture, wiring diagrams, panel layouts
• Work with key suppliers in sourcing and specifying equipment elements
• Commissioning of development equipment solutions at customer sites
• Prepare final machine documentation such as user’s manuals, testing protocols, etc.
• Provide technical leadership throughout development and effectively interface with internal and external customers
Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant product and equipment development experience
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
• Broad Technical knowledge and hands on experience in functional area(s)
• Exceptional problem solving and mechanical design abilities
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley experience preferred)
• Experienced in on-site installation and troubleshooting of equipment and systems
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team
• Strong interpersonal skills and a work ethic that corresponds with SEE’s core values
• Ability to travel up to 15%
