Position Purpose


Sealed Air is seeking a driven individual to join the Sustainability Innovation and Strategy team to drive programs that support our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction strategy for our Net Zero carbon reduction program.  These programs will focus on minimizing emissions from our operations and those of our customers.  This role will be responsible for reporting progress toward our 2030 Science based targets and our 2040 Net Zero Goals. This work requires external collaboration and partnerships with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability goals and metrics into core business functions. Additionally, the individual will support in-house technical expertise in the development of tools, products and services building on life cycle analysis (LCA) and the delivery of innovative approaches in the context of environmental reporting.


Key Outcomes


As a Sustainability Specialist, you will use your passion about using sustainability knowledge to influence business outcomes and your problem-solving technique skills to address customer issues with potential solutions. You will use your strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to assess problems to be solved, estimate value of solving the problem, and present compelling arguments to support preferred business solutions. You will demonstrate your ability to influence multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization with your skill at content development and communication.  You will be able to drive results and ensure ownership of the results with a high sense of drive, urgency, and a positive outlook that leads to results.  You will use your strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task while being flexible to adapt to a changing environment with changing demands and prioritize to meet deadlines.  You will be self-motivated and results oriented individual with the confidence to take risks while working independently as well as being a team player with good interpersonal skills, excellent at reaching out and influencing across a matrix organization, service minded, open and positive. The position will be based in Charlotte at Sealed Air Headquarters, but a remote hire is acceptable as well.
