Job Description

 

Few physical components have as many touchpoints through our global value chain than packaging. Whether it from “Farm to Fork” or unlocking same day deliveries, Sealed Air partners with our customers and their end-users to solve their most critical packaging challenges. 
Come join our small but growing UX team that’s elevating the Sealed Air impact through designing new experiences that range from the Industrial Internet of the Things (IIoT) space to growing our eCommerce marketplace.  In this role, you'll lead and conduct research efforts; create and communicate insights; and directly influence our digital products and support a team of product owners.

Responsibilities

 

  • Create world-class, end-to-end user experiences for the manufacturing and sustainability industries
  • Collaborate with the Experience Design team to devise design solutions based on research, insights, and analysis 
  • Execute high-quality design deliverables including visual design, UI screens, and high-fidelity prototypes in collaboration with fellow UX Designers
  • Standardize by producing reusable templates, components and patterns for AEM, proprietary applications, and email
  • Use design skills, not only as a tool to solve execution problems, but to identify new opportunities for value creation 
  • Translate and expand Sealed Air’s new brand identity across omni-channel experiences
  • Effectively communicate design intent and rationale to designers, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders

 

Qualifications

 

What We’re Looking For  

 

  • Professional Experience:  3+ years in applied product/UI design 
  • Design Rigor: Expert command over a wide range of design methods and high attention to detail.
  • Collaborative: Ability to work as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced, high-matrixed environment. Comfort with accepting and acting on feedback and constructive criticism. 
  • Communication:  Ability to communicate ideas through UI deliverables. Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge & Skills:  A command of design principles and visual storytelling. Experience turning information and data into simple, easy to understand insights and recommendations.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience communicating ideas and evangelizing user needs.
  • Work style: A self-motivator with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects with competing timelines. Enthusiasm for giving our user a voice.
  • Ability to think critically and ask questions

 

How You Stand Out

 

  • BS in User Experience, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Graphic Design, Web Design, or equivalent work experience
  • The ability to demonstrates vision, innovation and story-telling skills through a portolio
  • Proven ability to work with a variety of design tools such as Adobe XD, InVision, Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, and other digital creative applications
  • Ability to simply and effectively visualize and represent complex business and technical scenarios through sketches and storytelling
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of CSS/HTML, Content Management Systems and Motion Design
  • Working knowledge of Design Systems
  • Data visualization experience preferred.
  • A real passion for users and solving their needs through visual design and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to be nimble and creative under project constraints.
