Job Summary

 

Few physical components have as many touchpoints through our global value chain than packaging. Whether it from “Farm to Fork” or unlocking same day deliveries, Sealed Air partners with our customers and their end-users to solve their most critical packaging challenges. 


Come join our small but growing Experience Design (XD) team that’s elevating the Sealed Air impact through designing new experiences that range from the Industrial Internet of the Things (IIoT) space to growing our eCommerce marketplace.  In this role, you'll lead and conduct research efforts; create and communicate insights; and directly influence our digital products and support a team of designers and product owners.

How You Will Contribute

 

  • Translate complex business requirements into research plans which you will then lead and execute. 
  • Conduct generative and evaluative research activities, such as user interviews, usability testing, observational studies, UX metrics, etc. 
  • Use systems-level design thinking, leveraging past and current qualitative and quantitative data, to find opportunities to further improve the user experience and to help shape the digital experience landscape. 
  • Identify, generate and democratize insights that help drive product strategy, design strategy, and prioritization. 
  • Curate and tailor research findings to present to multiple audiences at varying levels of our organization through written reports and verbal presentations.

Key Skills/Experience for Success

 

  • BS in Design, UX, Sociology, Psychology, Human Factors, Information Science or related research field encouraged
  • MA/MS/PhD encouraged.
  • Comfortable conducting and synthesizing qualitative research for complex projects and delivering transformative insights
  • Prior experience researching e-commerce websites and digital platforms strongly preferred
  • Comfortable representing and evangelizing user research to business partners and senior leaders.
  • International experience encouraged.
  • A real passion for users and solving their needs
  • Ability to be nimble and resourceful under project constraints
  • Experience with UX research tools e.g. FullStory, Hotjar, Pendo, Usertesting.com, etc.
