Job Summary


The eCommerce Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is a newly created key role on the eCommerce team that will influence the direction and success of our global eCommerce strategy. This role will manage strategy, planning and execution of automated test processes in order to ensure release quality while increasing our speed to market. This individual will be responsible for leading the creation of innovative test frameworks, managing manual & automated test suites, and training / mentoring QA team members. This position will be responsible for managing QA Automation leads and engineers. They will work with cross functional team members to support key feature development in a B2B industry.


The position reports directly to the Executive Director of Product management and delivery and will be based at our headquarters in Charlotte, NC.




  • Owns all aspects of Quality Assurance strategy and execution for software applications at Sealed Air, including automated, manual functional and regression testing
  • Manages QA team resources, workflows and team delivery
  • Produces detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test roadmaps and manages execution
  • Analyze applications to design, develop and execute effective automated test solutions
  • Manage all automated test suites and testing schedules 
  • Maintain complete test scenario library
  • Manage defect creation, tracking and resolution processes
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to implement test automation solutions
  • Presents approach, progress and result of testing initiatives to management
  • Partners with application development teams in solution design to ensure testability of features
  • Deeply understands the product domain, organizational vision and socializes this knowledge to all team members
  • Provide training and leadership to peers - specifically around automation and process improvement
  • Stay current on new testing tools and capabilities in the market


Required Qualifications


  • 5-7 years’ experience as a QA Manager leading manual and automated testing in a fast-paced environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in eCommerce application and interface testing
  • 3+ years’ experience in resource management
  • Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle
  • Strong knowledge of Selenium Web driver with programming language Java and experience working TestNG, Junit, and Cucumber
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Advanced hands-on experience in building automated regression testing capabilities using current technologies
  • Ability to confidently navigate the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence)
  • Demonstrated experience in reusable test automation design and development
  • Hands on experience in testing Web services/API testing using SoapUI/Postman
  • Experience using tools like IDE, Postman, Bitbucket/GitHub, Git, Jenkins, JIRA, etc.
  • Familiar with one or more of the following techniques/methods: Agile, Scrum, TDD, Kanban, Continuous Integration and delivery
