Job Description

The buyer will analyze, negotiate, and make deals with suppliers to get the best combination of price and quality. Evaluate and buy products to either resell to customers or for internal use. Responsible for searching and selecting suppliers who can help to get material need in-process and items we might resell to customers.

Responsabilities

Maintaining Raw Material purchase orders in support a production process
Able to develop new contracts
Looking for new Suppliers
Developing Cost Reduction Projects
Negotiation prices and delivery time for materials
Evaluation / Developing suppliers
Responsible of obtaining credits with suppliers
Working with Engineering Team to require NPI’s material
Working with the Global Purchasing team to manage supplier relationships
Interfacing with teams at multiple locations to support purchasing objectives
Converting purchase requisitions onto purchase orders and executing with suppliers
Maintaining purchase orders as planning changes are implemented
Maintaining purchase orders in support of an equipment refurbishment process
Supporting project activities where purchasing support is needed
Resolving PO receiving and invoice match errors
Expediting of late PO’s
Facilitation of returns to suppliers
General procurement of MRO items and services.
Generation and monitoring of reports to proactively detect and resolve supply issues
Tracking assets and inventory at suppliers

Education, Qualifications & Experience

BS Degree in Business or related field preferred
95% Bilingual (English / Spanish)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills in an international environment
Minimum of 3 years related purchasing experience
Knowledge of SAP / Syteline purchasing required
Demonstrated computer skills, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to work in a remote, diverse fast-paced manufacturing environment
Safety knowledge
CTPAT and SOX knowledge
