Job Description
Position Summary: Responsible to produce medical film at optimum output and yield meeting or exceeding departmental goals and internal and external customers’ expectations. The medical operator will be cross trained to run a minimum of six different jobs on site and be rotated throughout those jobs to maintain skillsets.
Responsibilities
- Learn and operate multiple pieces of equipment; including a medical extrusion line, crosslinking unit, slitters, rewinders, blending equipment, forklifts and other related machinery following procedures outlined in training manuals.
- Being able to take multiple responsibilities in addition to line operator’s responsibilities.
- Communicating effectively to the team when there are changes to production orders and quality concerns.
- Perform quality inspections and complete product quality checks on a routine basis.
- Train on the use of quality testing equipment use and maintenance.
- Making sure formulations are being produced and labeled properly.
- Marking sure that the product being produced follows all customer specific SPIs and production scheduling instructions.
- Complete thorough and complete documentation per guidelines, instructions, GMPs, PFS and ISO.
- Use Microsoft office tools, email, factory talk and SAP to interact and document the process and production data.
- Troubleshooting the line, taking appropriate correctives actions while analyzing the line and correcting line issues as the occur.
- Complete visual defect inspections as outlined in the SOP.
- Maintain and change correct raw materials for the process.
- Responsible for all roll changes and palletizing.
- Complete housekeeping duties.
- Reacting to alarms and signals.
- Involved in department safety activities and performing duties in a safe manner
- Interact with co-workers and management to identify concerns and develop solutions.
- Complete any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
Education:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
Requirements:
- 0-3 years of manufacturing experience
- Ability to use computer systems. 1-2 years of windows applications experience preferred
- Being able to use various quality equipment tools such as; microscope, micro-meter and tape measure.
- Working in a team atmosphere alongside other departments to ensure accuracy and on time product delivery.
- Assist with any needing maintenance repairs and report non- function equipment.
- Be able to perform all housekeeping and good manufacturing practice activities.
