Process & Product Technologist Engineer (f/m)

Job Summary:

 

Reporting to the Regional Product Technologist Leader, this individual will be responsible for leading and running projects aimed at developing new product lines.  

 

Essential job duties/responsibilities include:

  • Substituting raw materials (Raw Material Replacement)
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with different plant teams and departments (i.e. - Manufacturing, Quality, I&D, Purchasing, Portfolio, etc.)
  • Facilitating communications throughout project teams
  • Supporting Innovation & Development projects and transitioning them to Supply Chain.
  • Collaborate with the European Product Technologist Team
  • Implementing best Innovation Delivery Process (IDP) approach across all the European Plants.
  • Within the scope of the job, collaborating with Manufacturing to:
    • drive completion of new manufacturing lines;
    • develop and improve the SOCs (formulations and process conditions) and SOPs (procedures and methods) of the production lines; 
    • support the manufacturing team with troubleshooting process or quality issues;
    • improve production variances with main focus on yield and uptime improvements;
    • partnering with the quality departments to monitor and improve the characteristics of new and existing products, with main focus on critical CTQs
       

What does the ideal candidate look like?

 

  • The ideal candidate should have a degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field, technical expertise/experience as a Process Engineer, Product Engineer, or R&D Engineer, and directly-related work experience leading large cross-functional end-to-end engineering projects. 
  • The individual should be able to work independently (with little to no supervision) and within a team-oriented atmospere, have a demonstrated track record successfully managing complex projects, and should be an effective communicator capable of communicating in English or French across all levels of an organization. 
  • The candidate must be able to travel as needed is required.
