Senior Engineering Project Manager (h/f)

Mission:

Reporting to the Technical Director of Engineering, the Senior Engineering Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing large end-to-end engineering projects.

 

Those responsiblilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing investment projects entrusted to you in complete autonomy from the start to installations (i.e.- pre-study phase, drafting of investment requests, approval, etc…
  • Coordinating actions in compliance with the objectives (safety, cost, time, quality) and monitoring in real time through the key stages and milestones until equipment is in production in our factories located in France and Western Europe.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional local teams and leaders of the various technological platforms, central engineering, and external subcontracting partners.
  • Leading and managing equipment improvement projects (reduction of production costs, capacity improvement, regulatory compliance, etc.).
     

What does the ideal candidate look like?

 

  • The ideal candidate has a strong technical engineering background with proven experience in technical project management and successful track record of coordinating and leading multidisciplinary teams (including both internal and external teams/subcontractors)
  • Prior experiece leading large-scale technical projecs (ex- production line installations, equipment upgrades); experience managing projects in the $10-20M+ range is a plus
  • Should be fluent in English (working language) and be an effective communicator, capable of influencing across all levels throughout the organization
  • Ability to work in highly matrixed, multi-cultural and cross-functional teams. 
  • Must be organized, rigorous, methodical with the ability to assess and define priorities, make decisions and hold objectives within scope and under-budget.
  • Must be dynamic thought leader with the ability to innovate in an international context. 
  • Must be able to travel as needed within Europe (<10%)
