What does a Sales Manager do?


Sealed Air Australia is looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our Commercial team.


Reporting to Vice President for Commercial Australia and New Zealand, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Southern Region Sealed Air business – VIC, TAS, WA and SA for Sealed Air across all segments which include Food Packaging and Protective Packaging.


You will also be a critical key leader in leading the Southern Region sales team in achieving the business revenue and margin growth for the business.

What we are looking for in you?


  • Extensive sales management and process experience, key account management experience, business development experience from a large B2B MNC business environment, packaging industry or FMCG industry highly preferred.
  • A proven track record in managing P&L and sales teams with strong leadership and team building experience
  • Ability to positively influence & coordinate activities of people in support departments
  • Strong business acumen and ability to deal with senior management, including CFO and CEO levels
  • Lead and coach sales teams in best-in-class Account Management processes
  • Ability to manage and lead customer negotiations
  • Strong analytical skills and an understanding of the levers that lead to the improvement of
  • Familiarity with commercial contracts and Australian competition law, Intellectual Property Law, and Contract Law.
  • An understanding of standard costing, variance reporting, margin analysis, and working capital management.
  • Strong presentation skills and proficient computer skills
  • Strong written or verbal communications.
  • Tertiary qualification in a Commercial, Business, Marketing or Technical stream and Technical knowledge in Plastic Processing and/or Plastic Product applications
  • Driver’s license (able to travel regularly for short periods of time including to interstate and overseas locations)
