Position Summary
  • Mailer Line Operators are responsible for the safe operation of plastic envelope manufacturing equipment to produce quality product by continual adjustments of gauges and digital control systems that adjust speed, temperature, and air pressure while also focusing on safety and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Knows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Produce orders to schedule in order to satisfy customer needs and production requirements.
  • Set up print plates and master flexographic printing techniques.
  • Perform production execution of product labeling and production entry.
  • Complete all required Quality inspections, testing, and documentation.
  • Maintain and operate associated line equipment such as a case sealer and corner wrap label making equipment.
  • Comply with Company standards with regard to housekeeping and 6S on machines and surrounding areas.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Perform duties of other team members as required during breaks and absences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements
  • 1- 3 years’ experience as a machine operator with knowledge of process equipment, tooling and procedures in order to set up, operate, and maintain equipment work area in a safe, productive manner
  • Basic math, reading, computer, and analytical skills.
  • High awareness towards safety and ability to analyze and solve production facility problems.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and independently.
  • Able to work overtime and on weekends.
  • College-level courses or trade school preferred.
  • Operate cranes, forklift, and other related equipment.
  • Basic understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting weights over 30lbs.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Must be able to routinely work in a “hot room” (up to 110 degrees F at times).
