Associate Channel Sales Manager - North

Key Activities

 

1) Maintaining and growing existing channel sales though channel partners

  • Ensuring achievement of the territory and channel budget 
  • Ensuring accurate forecast for channel sales
  • Timely collection of outstanding for channel partners
  • Business development through existing channel sales
  • Support in trials and product introduction to the market through channels
  • Maximizing Sealed Air presence in the territory through channel sales 

2) Growing Channel Partners 

  • Ensuring adequate representation of Sealed Air through channel partners in the specified territory
  • Ensuring sales of designated Sealed Air portfolio in the territory through channel
  • Expanding market coverage and exclusive channel appointments

3) Business Hygiene 

  • Monthly review with channel partners and reporting of secondary sales to management
  • Monitor secondary as well as primary sales of channel partner
  • Regular joint field working with the channel representative to facilitate closure of new accounts as well as maintaining existing accounts
  • Ensure updated market intelligence on competitive activity in the territory along with end customer forecasts and offtake trends 
  • Deliver product and sales training to the channel partners and their sales team
  • Ensure availability of all sales tools from time to time to the channel partners
  • Regular communication with the channel partner and management
  • Ensuring contract sign up with partners and compliance
  • Resolve and mitigate channel conflict

4) Co-ordinate for Business Performance

  • Monthly review of sales and forecast with RSM and Channel Head
  • Plan and deliver order and stock in consultation with Sales coordinators and Supply Chain
  • Ensure accurate and timely update on sales CRM (C4C)
  • Ensure packaging trials and demonstration at end customer premises on his own as well as in coordination with the technical service team / Account Development Team / Business Development team
  • Ensure complete adherence to 20 day planner
  • Implement channel strategy in the territory in direct consultation with the Country Channel Head

Functional knowledge and skills

  • Working Proficiency in MS Excel, including making pivots and basic analysis of data 
  • Proficient in making PowerPoint presentations, MS Word
  • Good Communication skills – written & Spoken – English / Hindi and Native Language
  • Digitally savvy to navigate the web
  •  Should be comfortable in adopting to new digital sales technology like sales CRM
  • Demonstrated success in direct consultative account sales role with increasing levels of responsibility.   Demonstrated team management or collaboration and leadership capabilities in a selling environment.
  • Advanced level of English, both spoken and written. 
  • Must be a business savvy individual with financial knowledge and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills at multiple organization levels.  Solid and demonstrated presentation skills with ability to convey complex information to a broad audience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.  Must be able to communicate and build relationships from operations to Senior Executives.
  • Ability to work independently as well as thrive in a cooperative work environment while working confidently with higher management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong inter-personal acumen and cross-cultural agility.
  • Possession of knowledge and skills needed to resolve wide and varied situations while being able to implement concrete recommendations and decisions.  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task while being flexible with changing demands.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and execution skills.
  • Self-starter with the confidence to take risk, partner with business leaders as required, lead change, and work transparently with all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated sales skills and/or training with ability to utilize consultative sales techniques.
  • Demonstrated persuasiveness and solid negotiation skills.
  • Ability to utilize collaborative team building orientation to work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated reliability and ability to handle accountability concerning sales and customer commitments. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%.

Qualification

  • Minimum Full time graduate from reputed Universities
  • Preference will be given for BE. MBA is not a prerequisite but will be considered as an advantage
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in sales and marketing operations
  • Having demonstrated skills in handling large accounts
  • Handled territories single handedly by winning new accounts
  • Handled distribution specifically in B2B sales
  • Energetic, entrepreneurial and hard working
  • Ready to walk extra mile to add value to business
