Senior Human Resources Generalist

Position Purpose

To deliver day to day Human Resources services across Hamilton and Auckland site by collaborating with Business Leaders, employees and external consultants.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition.  Support the APAC talent hub to deliver a high standard of recruitment professionalism to the Company. Direct sourcing of Direct labour employees as required.
  • Management of Employment Contract, Entitlements and Benefits.  Provide advice to managers/employees on entitlements, benefits and immigration matters. Preparation of employment contracts in accordance with GRF and other company policies. Provide award/eba and contractual interpretations to Payroll.
  • Onboarding.   Facilitate all necessary onboarding requirements for new employees by liaising with Hiring Manager
  • Perform the role of Super User for company’s HRIS for New Zealand.  Record maintenance, processing of career event requests in accordance with GRF. Provide guidance to mangers on system use.
  • Global Rewards Framework.  Manage, support and administer compensation changes and job evaluations in line the GRF by working closely with business leaders and Total Rewards.  Support Managers during the ASR process.
  • Projects.   Participate, contribute in or lead HR / HRIS / Total Rewards/ Engagement and Retention, Skills assessment, Talent Management and development projects and initiatives as required locally, regionally and globally.
  • Mobility.   Manage all requirements in relation to employee mobility by liaising with the global mobility team ensuring all New Zealand immigration requirements are met. 
  • Policies & Procedures.   Assist in developing and executing HR policies and procedures and provide assistance in interpretation to the business.
  • Auditing.  Ensure all HR processes and employee records/documentation comply with auditing requirements.
  • Grievances / Counselling.   Support Employee Relations Manager in handling such matters.  Assist in conducting investigations to reach a fair & equitable resolution and undertake the role of workplace contract officer coordination.
  • Compliance Reporting.   Manage and complete company, external and government HR compliance reporting, eg Towers Watson and Compensation Projections.
  • Learning & Development. Deliver assigned training to business.

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in a Business discipline plus experience in application of Employment Law, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Human Resource Administration and systems.
  • Extensive experience in general Human Resources services including Talent Management, Industrial Relations, Development, Engagement and Retention initiatives.
  • Some experience in Recruitment
  • Experience as a Superuser with HRIS systems, (Success Factors an advantage)
  • Must be detailed focused.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and ethics
  • Computer literacy in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, WebEx, etc.
  • Abe to write and document Letters, Policies and procedures.
  • Keep up to date with current recruitment, sourcing and retention practices and data.
  • Willingness to relocate to Australia at some point.
  • Must have a degree
