ROLE PURPOSE
Audit the outgoing quality level of manufactured plastic processes and products to ensure compliance to Automated Packaging Systems’ specifications and customer requirements.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Inspections to be completed based upon directed risk approach and manufacturing performance.
- Disposition, in conjunction with operations supervisor, MRB material per requirements.

- Perform audits of finished product from the Bag/Pouch Conversion Departments for conformance of quality requirements.

- Complete incoming inspections of purchased film to ensure compliance with product specifications.
- Assist in the inspection of customer returned product to resolve issues pertaining to quality and to satisfy customer needs.

- Audit the quality process to ensure conformance to established quality-related procedures.

- Complete all paperwork, reports, and filing associated with the performance of the role to affirm that audit and test results are accurately documented, organized, and filed.

- Ability to train for and conduct internal ISO audits and support external audits as needed.

- Participate in our Continuous Improvement program including the support of six sigma and defect improvement teams throughout the plant.

- Serve as back up to other Quality positions during times of vacations, illness, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Three years minimum working knowledge of APS Converting manufacturing process PREFERRED.
- Competency in IFS.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with APS product specifications.
- Must have a demonstrated knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Power Point, Access, and Excel.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Requires ability to lift 50 pounds
- Expected to work as a Team member to protect the Customer from nonconforming material.
