Role Summary
Located at our Sydney site in Macquarie Park, reporting to the Technical Service Manager Australia, you will be primarily responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and customer training on the complete range of Cryovac packaging equipment. In addition you will be responsible for emergency repairs at customer sites throughout your state and when required across Australia plus you will also contribute to equipment sales & proposals, materials & equipment audits, system applications and competitor analysis.
This is a "hands on" customer facing role.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation/commissioning of Cryovac® equipment into the customer’s packaging plant.
- Maintain the equipment servicing requirements and reporting of all Cryovac® equipment within allocated responsibility.
- Manage the emergency breakdown repairs to customer’s equipment.
- Customer invoicing for servicing equipment and spare parts.
- Conduct material and equipment audits with the Sales Department.
- Develop a strong customer service relationship to expand our existing equipment and service business.
- Control the spare parts stock and manage the service tools kits for your allocated state responsibility.
- Strict compliance to Cryovac® OHS policy including:- Risk Assessment, JSA’s,SOP’s,JSRA’s etc..
- Prepare and distribute customer service reports for all service work undertaken.
- Maintain and update all record systems relating to our customer’s equipment.
Required Qualifications
Our preferred candidate will hold an A Grade Electrical Licence and excellent mechanical aptitude or Mechanical Fitter with restricted electrical license.
Required
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or service based industry.
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude as the equipment is predominately mechanical.
- Be a self-starter and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Able to travel intrastate on a regular basis and interstate when required.
- Flexibility with your working days and hours - due to accessibility to customer sites. This will include up to 20 weekends.
- Excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills
- Present as a confident and reliable representative to our customers.
- A valid driver's licence
- The inherent physical requirements of the role needs a person with moderate fitness and agility.
- Experience with packaging/food packaging equipment would be a distinct advantage.
