What you'll do:

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Meet machine sales, bag sales and activity level targets to contribute towards meeting the Company’s overall sales objectives
  • Produce sales proposals and carry out machinery demonstrations for customers/prospective customers to present the benefits of the product and how it can meet the specific needs of their business
  • Be proactive in generating and following up leads and looking for new industry areas to ensure business opportunities are not missed
  • Produce high quality written proposals for new business opportunities
  • Produce monthly reports for the UKI APS Commercial Director relating to the marketplace, competition, market trends and opportunities which may affect the Company’s growth
  • Produce activity, area and sales meeting reports for the UKI APS Commercial Director to ensure they are kept well-informed of all progress and developments
  • Maintain an outstanding level of customer service to all new and existing accounts to secure customer retention and uphold the Company’s reputation
  • Accurately update the Company’s customer and prospects database in accordance with the standards advised by the UKI APS Commercial Director

What we are looking for:

 

Beneficial Experience:

 

  • A strong background in sales and customer service 
  • Experience in capital goods/GMCG sector
  • Experience in the packaging industry 

 

You will need:

 

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (Grade A-C or 4-9)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent relationship and rapport building skills
  • Excellent questioning and active listening skills
  • Good at developing networks and obtaining referrals
  • Determined and ‘can-do’ mentality
  • Business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Summarising and trial closing skills
  • Seeks out new opportunities
  • Works well under own initiative
  • Presentation skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
