SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

 

The Value Desk department for PCD EMEA is a gate keep function under Finance to ensure that we maximize profit on new and existing deals with our Customers. The Deal Desk will review, summarize and collect in-depth information on proposed business opportunities from the European Product Care sales force for review by European Management.

Subsequently, the Value Desk manages and controls price entry in SAP, requested by our EMEA internal departments.  Within the team, for newly added tasks with regards to pricing administration, an open position is available.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Perform data administration by managing requested price conditions to be saved in SAP within the lead time given.
  • Check and control Manual pricing reports
  • Update weekly pricing tool for use by our EMEA colleagues
  • Audit sales prices on accurate administration and on inconsistency
  • Review new business proposals from Sales and present for authorization
  • Audit the actual customer performance vs. the commitment as brought forward by Sales
  • Professional and objective verbal and written communication with Sales in order to ensure realistic deals have been presented and challenge when it is felt there is an opportunity to improve
  • Be an invaluable business partner adding value to all key decisions. Educate sales teams on how to interpret financial information.
  • Ad-hoc reporting & analysis. Proactive business analysis to discover business issues and contribute towards corrective actions.
  • Make sure departmental procedures & policies are followed and help built & maintain procedures, in line with SEE Corporate Policies
     
QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience
  • Fluent in English and one other main European language. Dutch not included. More language skills are a plus
  • Experience with  SAP is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and  communication skills
  • Self-motivation and autonomy
  • Ability to keep an overview over the Financials with a good understanding of the underlying details.
  • Demonstrated commitment to company goals and priorities.
  • Ability to organize, manage and prioritize work for oneself.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Can work independently and as a team member.
  • Is a multi-tasker with proven follow-through and adherence to schedules and deadlines.
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality concerning proprietary information.
  • Work cordially and professionally with internal and external constituents.
  • Flexibility regarding changing priorities and deadlines.
